There are lots of great ways for small business owners, lawyers, bankers, recruiters, inventors, hackers, advisors, employee-number-one’s, consultants, marketers, and groupies to engage in the startup ecosystem. This isn’t one of them.
As a founder, I am deliberate about events I attend. I pass on most other events, but would rarely skip a Startup Poker 2.0 night. I find myself checking multiple times to make sure I have it on my calendar — that’s how much it means to me — and I don’t even play poker!
Startup Haven has been a perfect way for me to meet startup founders and angel investors. I’ve been impressed with the support and camaraderie that takes place among this dynamic group of founders and funders.
What is wonderful about Startup Haven – and why I never miss when I am in town – is that you have so incredibly much talent and experience in the room. Seed investors asking for flow, seasoned C-level players offering experience and advice, support when things don’t go well and always folks giving. It’s a place I can learn what I need to know and share what others need when I have it. It’s not just another “networking event” – good things happen.
Startup Haven’s GroundWork Workshops are just what I needed! As a member of Startup Haven I am constantly learning how to effectively run and scale my company. These workshops have enabled me to dive deeper. In fact, I’ve already implemented some of the advice I received at the “Creating Cogent Milestones” workshop… making new plans, cutting costs, and focusing on revenue in a whole new way. If you’re serious about your startup, I highly recommend you get in on the ground floor of these highly-effective workshops.
